Control Freak

I think that I have realized why I love writing so much. Even though my characters sometimes do things I don't plan on (like falling over unexpected limbs), even when they develop personality quirks I didn't have in mind (Nargani has selective ignorance), I still am in nearly complete control of their lives. I can make them hysterical (like I just did), I can make them confused (like I just did), I can make them rather indifferent (Sinx is a horse, what does he care that Maric is deformed?), or I can make them an irrational player of the blame game (*coughCiriacough*). It gives me such glee; I am reminded that I am somewhat of a control freak. Now Son of Sferesh can truly begin. Maric has come into his heritage by a detrimental path, and Cedric now begins to cultivate his fiendish plans in Siltek. Mwahahahahaha. Bwaha. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

yes, this is true. i think that writers at times enjoy writing because then they have the control over a sort of life and situation that they don't have with their own. my 2 scents for the day.

your two smells for the day? hahaha excellent.

Yes, Kristy, writers like you enjoy that, whereas writers like me just don't care what happens they just write stuff. Most of the time, my type of writers aren't successful, even if we do write some sweet stuff (take me for example)

Yeah, there are subdivisions in the broad expanse of writers. But think on this, Amicus: once Maric gets accustomed to deformity, he goes back to Kumei. After issues in Kumei that result in him being nearly burned to death, he starts to go home. Then events are put into motion that get Maric into the royal court! And I believe you know what that means.

Hmm. For me, I tend to make my writing very symbolic. Either that or it's representative of my life. Or both... Heck, what do I know? Someone said that she thought my song "Transylvania" was about me getting culture shock when I came here... Haha. Really, it was (I believe) simply an attempt at writing a song about Transylvania and, uh, using the term "fake clairvoyant." An obsession of mine... I don't get myself.
